The Clevedon Sunday Market is an artisan market held in Clevedon, with stalls celebrating locally produced food and drink, talented craft makers and vintage collectors from the South West. The market is held on three sites * four at Christmas (See our map) in the Hill and Sea area.

Our story
The Sunday Market began with the idea of making Sunday in Clevedon a special day, for visitors and local residents to shop, explore and celebrate the hill and sea area. To make the area a place the community can meet and enjoy a social day out.

β€œThe Hill and Sea Independent Traders group (HAS IT) wanted to make Sunday an extra trading day, but needed to offer something new to attract visitors. Sunday has traditionally seen the businesses in this area close but with the market we can transform it into a vibrate place to visit for the day. As the seafront draws visitors from further afield on the weekends, HAS IT wanted to show off what the area, as a destination for day-trips has to offer.”

The organisers
Clevedon Resident Kate Bethell is the Market Coordinator. Kate and the Sunday Market team - Jon Earl ( Saker Stationary ), Victoria Saunders (Nineteen) and with a team of volunteers have run the Clevedon Sunday Market since April 2016.

'Clevedon is a place I love and I believe it deserves a really good artisan market. The Sunday Market has been set up to bring together talented makers, producers, designers and collectors to create a vibrant and exciting way to spend a Sunday. I am so pleased to have been asked to help get this project off the ground. We have more events planned this year and hope to return next year, building on our success.'

How it works
We are trading from three private sites courtesy of Essential Computing, Body Management Gym and Christopher Brown Accountants in return for making a donation to their chosen charities. We will also be making collections on the day so please give if you can, to help these great causes.
