Please Introduce yourself... Hi , my name is Kim and I am a vintage dealer and market trader

Tell us what you will be bringing to the Clevedon Sunday Market .....As the first market is in the Spring, I will be concentrating on Gardenalia which is my favourite "stuff" and as I am a keen gardener myself, I can buy all the stock that I also love

Tell us about how your business started....I have been involved with the second hand market since I was a teenager as my Dad was an antique dealer , I took the plunge to make it my full time job 5 years ago and opened a shop in W-S-M.    It was a great experience for 2 years but I wanted to do fairs and events and decided it could be done working from home.

The first year I booked everything and everywhere , you get chance to network with other traders and gradually learn to pick and choose your venues.

Tell us what you love about markets/ trading at markets such as the Clevedon Sunday Market.... Market trading is very enjoyable because you meet such a diverse mixture of customers, some are looking for something, others buy on impulse. I enjoy buying and wondering where it will end up. There's always a cameraderie amongst the other stall holders that you don't get in a shop. The downside is the unpredictable weather which can make or break a day

Tell us something about Clevedon (a memory, a reason to visit, what you love about Clevedon).... Originally I am from the south east, so didn't discover Clevedon until 3 years ago when I was doing vintage fairs. I think Clevedon "gets" vintage and having traded at The Sunday market and the HAVE markets, it is definitely my favourite place, everyone is so friendly too.
